This property is a 5 star, with 114 guest rooms and suites, five conference rooms and a stunning restaurant and bar.

Forage Kitchen + Bar harvests elements from New Zealand’s unique terroir and bring stories back from the farm.

**THE POSITION**

Reporting to the General Manager; a Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible to coordinate and manage the day to day food and beverage operations, specifically conference and catering, restaurant, in room dining and bar service in the hotel while maximizing profitability and meeting customer's needs.

Management and guidance of outlet staff under control, namely Food & Beverage Supervisors/ Team Leaders and Food and Beverage Attendants.

Assist in the preparation monthly food and beverage reports, commenting on key performance indicators and action taken to keep on target.

Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for restaurant, bar and room service.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in a similar role, preferably including 5 star experience in a hotel.
- An understanding of luxury guest expectations and desire to meet these expectations.
- Hands on approach and a keen eye for detail is a strong attribute of this role.
- Wear the passion for food & beverage in your personality
- Proven experience in meeting budgeted and forecasted for costs for payroll/wage costs and department costs.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team
- Establish on-going On Job Training within the department to meet brand and service standards. Use department procedure manuals as a base for all service procedures and training.
- Induct new staff into the team, department and hotel in the first week of their employment using the orientation checklist.
- Understanding of luxury guest expectations and desire to meet the expectations.
