**About the opportunity**

This organisation is seeking a Project Lead to join their Whangarei team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the youth

**Role Description**

The purpose of this role is to facilitate the implementation of a stakeholder group; and support that group in the development of a comprehensive project plan - including funding options for the advancement of an integrated Community Hub in Whangarei.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Develop and implement a detailed and transparent process to identify membership of a stakeholder group
- Present reports as needed or requested on project progress, problems, options and solutions to the General Manager
- Develop and implement a communication plan to ensure all key stakeholders are kept well informed about progress.
- Adhere to organisational policies and procedures, legislation and guidelines

**This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background / experience / qualities**:

- Experience managing complex and high profile projects
- Experience in a range of Community development sectors
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive, productive and collaborative working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience in utilisation of wide range of funding mechanisms
- Experience in constructing effective Project Plans and Business Cases
- Strategic and operational planning experience

**About the company**:
Our client opened in 2014 in response to a need identified by Whangarei young people and the wider community, for a safe, welcoming youth-focused space. The aim was to provide a place of belonging, easy access to support, development opportunities, and youth-specific health services. Today, it is a vibrant Youth One Stop Shop for youth aged 12-24. In the last year they have provided over 3000 Youth with Health and Youth Development support, including mentoring, leadership development and employment pathways.
