**The role**
Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering innovative training initiatives to prepare learners for the industry, accelerate trades based learning and support ongoing development of current employees by leading a small training support team. This role will partner with the business to drive training outcomes, and build partnerships with private training establishments, ITO’s, Government agencies and tertiary organisations.
- In this role, you will also:
- Lead a small training support team to provide pastoral care and pathways management to trainees across the Northpower business.
- Manage our existing funding initiatives and work with different agencies and partners to secure additional funding.
- Oversee and manage all things early careers (Trainee and Cadetships) and social outcomes.
- Assist the wider business to manage new training requests across all learning streams from Trade to professional development.
- Ensure smooth delivery of the programmes and conduct evaluations to identify improvements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the L&D team and external agencies (Government agencies, Tertiary providers, PTE’s and Community Groups) to achieve Northpowers Learning and Development objectives.
- Manage internal and external reporting requirements
- Develop learning pathways and provide recommendations for qualification reviews where appropriate.

As a Learning and Development Pathways Lead, you will also be in-charge of providing continuous care and overall support for employees that are a part of our Trainee and Cadetship Programme.**What’s in it for you?**

**About you**
Although this role has the ‘feel-good’ factor, it is not for the faint-hearted. You will have previous experience working in a similar role managing multiple programmes within the Vocational education sector or Tertiary education sector and can demonstrate the following:
- Qualification in a relevant area, e.g., Business, Learning & Development, Adult Education or equivalent experience
- Understanding of NZQA frameworks and qualification pathways including knowledge of Micro credentials
- Ability to project manage multiple projects end-to-end whilst ensuring deliverables are met in a timely and cost efficient manner
- Knowledge and respect for Te Ao Maori, and commitment to the principals of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Managing effective and sustainable business relationships in a fast paced and challenging environment
- Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement these
- Competent computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technologies used for learning and development
- Strong presentation, facilitation and report writing skills
- Innovative thinker with great attention to detail
