**Associate Project Manager, Delivery (Whangārei)**
- Join the rapidly growing Northland Beca business, making a difference in the local community, delivering projects across education, sports, water infrastructure, land development, and commercial sectors
- Shape your career, learning from leading delivery and technical experts across Beca disciplines, both locally in Northland and nationwide, enabling you to ‘make everyday better’
**Te kāinga rua | The opportunity**
You will be a relationship builder with great communication skills, connecting across Beca and with our broad range of clients. You will understand project governance structures, risk management, scheduling, and construction contracts, including the role of Engineer to Contract. Ideally you will have actively managed and led diverse teams including designers and contractors.
With a broad range of projects and clients, you will have a strong team at Beca to support you in project delivery. You will enjoy working closely with teams, to share your knowledge and experience to grow and develop others. Working at Beca will provide you with access to a truly multi discipline business where you can draw on technical experts and local Principals to support delivery of significant and complex projects. These include the education, commercial, health, local and central government sectors.
In Whangārei we have a tight knit, multi-disciplinary team with a great team culture and a flexible working environment. We can also draw on our strong links back to our Auckland team for training and development opportunities as well as wider project experience. In Beca as a whole we have an open and collaborative team structure across all functions and levels in the business, embedded into the culture as part of ‘making everyday better’. Fulfilling career opportunities exist across people leadership, management, and delivery roles depending on how you want to shape your career.
**Ko wai koe | About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have the credibility, confidence, and ability to operate across both small and large projects. You will have demonstrated experience of 5-10 years in this domain, understanding the local market, business, and operating environment. Our client and project needs mean this role will not suit graduates or project managers in the early stages of their career. In addition, you will be a tertiary qualified professional with proven experience that is well aligned to providing consulting services in the project management sector.
You will be a savvy, innovative and commercially minded professional with a collaborative approach. We also like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humour will hold you in good stead. This position will provide you with wide exposure and create opportunities for career and professional development across the Beca business, both locally and across Australasia.
