Te Reo Tātaki**,** TVNZ is undergoing transitioning from a broadcast centric organisation to becoming a digital-first, public media streamer. This transition is supported by a strategic transformation programme designed to speed up our transition. It will provide the roadmap for Te Reo Tātaki, to continue as a vibrant, commercially sustainable media organisation that delivers trusted news, sport, and the best of international and local entertainment to Aotearoa for generations to come.

**The opportunity - Te tūranga**

We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead who will be responsible for leading all data migration activities and tasks for the migration of data across our Content Business Systems workstream in the Systems Invesment Programme. This role will be responsible for the management, planning, and execution of all internal and Supplier migration activities. Working closely with the CBS Project Manager and Solution architect your focus will be to:

- Be accountable for the creation of all data migration strategies and activities as part of the wider Content Business System project
- Lead a team of 4-5 data migration specialists comprising internal, contract and Supplier resources
- Manage key stakeholders and senior leaders from all areas of the business to ensure data accuracy and project success
- Ensure all data migration activities are delivered on time, to cost and to the required quality
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy during migration processes
- Develop and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities
- Upskill in Mediagenix Load tool
- Monitor and report on migration progress and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues
- Manage testing of migrated data to assess and assure quality and accuracy of populated data
- Correct inaccurate and poor-quality data

**This is a 12 month fixed term contract.**

To be successful in this role, you will need the following
- Experience managing large, complex data migrations and the use of data migration tools and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of data migration principles, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work in low-structure environments, bringing clarity and leadership to projects with evolving requirements.
- Experience delivering projects in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid environments
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams to executives.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ideally experience in the media or advertising industry
