These opportunities don't come around very often, due to internal movement we are seeking someone with experience in supporting secondary students to gain either NCEA L2 or L3 in a tertiary environment and to provide a high level of student support and pastoral care within our Pathways and Transitions Team. Our tight knit Pathways and Transitions Team, partner with students and enjoy a rewarding full-filling role where no two days are the same. One day you may be promoting our pathways at a high school, the next you will be discussing academic support with a student's lecturer. You will need initiative, maturity and energy, it's all go with many key stakeholders such as whanau, school contacts, Ministry of Education agencies, iwi, and South Auckland community representatives that you will need to engage to support your students' pathways and future into employment or further education.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Experience in supporting secondary age students preferably in a tertiary environment
- Experience with Maori and Pasifika Students and their communities
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages, in particular Word and Excel
- Highly developed emotional intelligence and a collaborative approach that will enable the ability to develop and maintain caring relationships with students and key stakeholders
- Ability to think outside the box, be a problem solver with attention to detail
