Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Product Manager for the Savings portfolio, you will oversee the day-to-day management of savings products to ensure they meet both financial and customer objectives. This role plays a key part in delivering outcomes that align with the organization’s strategic direction, requiring a balance of analytical thinking and customer-centric decision-making.
You will be responsible for keeping savings products competitive and well-managed, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver initiatives that enhance product performance and customer value. This position calls for a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a dynamic market environment.

**Role Type**: 18-month Secondment/Fixed term role
**Hours**: Standard 37.5 hrs

**You will be responsible for**:
Contributing to the development and execution of the Deposits strategy to drive portfolio performance.
Leading and supporting initiatives that enhance the Deposit customer experience and deliver positive outcomes, in collaboration with stakeholders across the value chain.
Analysing key portfolio metrics and providing actionable insights to improve performance.
Supporting frontline lenders through clear, timely communications, training sessions, and reference materials to build capability.
Assisting with internal and external communications related to Deposits, ensuring consistency and clarity.
Providing support to other members of the Deposits team to achieve shared goals.
Ensuring all product initiatives comply with ANZ’s Global Product Management Policy and align with strategic objectives.
Embedding effective non-financial risk management practices in daily activities and decision-making.

To thrive and excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels, including frontline teams and senior leadership.
Proven experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry, with deep knowledge of Deposits products and related processes.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of deliverables and manage end-to-end delivery plans for key initiatives.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results and deliver shared objectives.
Solid background in product management, supported by knowledge of change management, project management, and risk management practices.
Highly motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to decision-making, planning, and prioritisation.
