Whānau Āwhina Plunket is the largest service in Aotearoa supporting the health and wellbeing of tamariki under-five and their whānau.

We’re seeking the support of a Community Support Coordinator to join our team in Wellington on a part time (32 hours per week) permanent basis. You can choose the days you work.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Our Community services Coordinators ensure our community-based initiatives such as our parenting groups, programmes and playgroups run smoothly, and our volunteers are well supported. You will have the opportunity to create develop and support initiatives with other organisations to support whanau.

To support these initiatives, you might support fundraising initiatives and work alongside your Community Services Team Leader to consider our services and volunteer base. This involves ensuring our volunteers are prepared, informed and feel connected to our Kaupapa.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**

To thrive in this role, you will have had prior experience working in a fast-paced role that requires you to be able to prioritise tasks, build positive relationships and work within multiple systems with ease. Prior experience working in a community setting, working with a volunteer workforce will be advantageous but not essential. You will also need a full NZ Drivers Licence.

You will also bring:

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working autonomously and as part of a team
- Understanding of the principles and practices of community development, groups, parent to parent support and community led initiatives
- Knowledge, connections and understanding of local/ regional networks and groups is desirable
- Microsoft Office skills
