**About the Role**

This important role will assist the Charge Nurse Manager with the day-to-day clinical coordination of the community teams serving our palliative, oncology and district nursing patients across the Wairarapa to ensure the provision of high quality health care for the patients in the community.

This position will enable an effective practice environment through providing clinical and professional nursing leadership, coaching of staff and monitoring standards of practice.

The role requires the use of expert knowledge and skill in the management of patients, providing direct patient care as required.

The ACNM also has ongoing delegated responsibility for aspects of the CNM role and will provide an ideal opportunity to develop your leadership and management skills.

This is a permanent full time position working 72 hours per fortnight (0.9 FTE), working Monday to Friday.

**About the Team/Service/Location**

The Community Nursing teams delivers community and outpatient services from two locations, based in Masterton and Greytown. They provide care to people in their own homes and in outpatient clinics, and work closely alongside specialist Health NZ services, primary care and community providers. Clients cover the age spectrum and present with a diverse range of needs that require community nursing care, specialist nursing management and / or short term home supports.

**About you**

You will be an experienced Registered Nurse, holding a current annual practicing certificate. Ideally with previous co-ordination and/or management experience and specialist knowledge of either Oncology, Palliative Care or District Nursing.
- New Zealand Registered Nurse qualification including Registration and current Annual Practising Certificate.
- Achievement of Proficient or Expert/Leadership level on PDRP.
- Relevant post graduate qualification, or working towards.
- At least 2 years RN experience in a community setting.
- Previous co-ordination and/or management experience.
