Our client specialises in precision maintenance of laundry technology and production lines for the laundry industry, and we now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the team, based in Auckland.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role will see you responsible for
supporting production and equipment changeovers in a continuous flow industrial manufacturing environment, maintaining operation of machinery and mechanical equipment whilst supporting a continuous improvement culture.
We are looking for a proactive, positive, well rounded, hands-on hard-working individual who works well under pressure. If you have good manufacturing practices, enjoy representing an organisation whose values include safety, teamwork, service and innovation and are someone who actively drives for improvements to increase efficiency and quality, then we want to hear from you.
- 5 Years experience within the manufacturing/production engineering space
- Engineering, Mechanical or Fitter & Turner trade qualification
- Hands-on fault finding/diagnostic skills
- A strong focus on maintenance
- High level knowledge of NZ Permit Issuer and Receiver
- Knowledge of ISO9002 and HCCAP systems
- Knowledge and implementation of Workplace Health and Safety practices
- Welding ability and limited electrical experience advantageous
- Ideally previous experience in a laundry processing manufacturing environment
You’ll enjoy engaging with people at all levels of the business, thrive on a willingness to learn, champion change, work in with a busy and hard-working team and show a high level of energy determination and tenacity.
Hours of work are rostered for 40 hours per week as standard, however there is expectation of overtime and on call from time to time.
In return you will be paid between $90,000-100,000 salary depending on your experience and qualifications, and fit to the role. Overtime rates will apply, as well as call out allowances.
