Join the Christchurch City Council Libraries Unit this summer as a Digital Content Intern Gain essential experience in your desired field, learn and develop a unique skill set with the guidance from our team of experts. Here at the Christchurch City Council Libraries Team we are passionate about what we do and look forward to supporting your learning.

This internship project has been designed by the Christchurch City Council Libraries Unit, and is intended to contribute to the preservation of heritage material including our online digital heritage repository, Canterbury Stories.

**What is a typical day as a Digital Content Intern;**
- Reviewing current education and campaign material
- Researching and cross referencing CCC material to ensure it aligns with latest research and best practise from the Emergency Management sector

**What will I expect to achieve?**
- Support the Digital Content team to preserve the identified content so that it can be added to the Digital Heritage Repository
- Support the Digital Content Team to describe and organise the identified content

**Qualifications and experience?**
- Degree relating to the following; History, Journalism, Records/Information Management, Library studies, Cultural Heritage, Cultural Studies, Material Culture
- An interest in history, particularly modern social history, heritage, and cultural collections that make up the GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) sector
- This is an unpaid/voluntary summer internship with the Christchurch City Council_
- Location: Linwood, 180 Smith Street_
- Salary: Unpaid/Voluntary_
- Hours:_ Flexible and agreed upon dependent on the individual schedule
