The Bay of Plenty District Health Board is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne.. We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. The BOPDHB is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.

**He kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**

This position covers the clerical functions of the Orthopaedic Ward and the Kaupapa Māori Ward at Tauranga Hospital.

This is a busy and varied position with a focus on admission and discharge processes and responding to general enquiries from staff, patients and the public. The successful applicant needs to be able to work morning and afternoon shifts, however most of the shifts will be from 1300-2000.

- Outstanding time management skills

Previous experience in a hospital setting and knowledge of patient management systems is desirable as well as strong data entry skills. As this role provides clerical support to the Kaupapa Māori ward an understanding of tikanga and Te Reo is an asset.
