Position Description
We have an exciting career opportunity within the Community and Regulatory Services team for a high performing individual.
As the Community Compliance Officer - RMA, you will be responsible for providing a customer responsive and solutions focused approach to Resource Consent Monitoring and complaint inspection/enforcement under the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). In addition, you will also carry out general compliance duties relating to Rotorua Lakes Council Bylaws.
- A minimum of two years' previous experience working in a regulatory/enforcement role and preferably hold a relevant tertiary qualification in the Environmental Management/Resource Management Act field or related discipline.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills, both written and oral, alongside proven investigation and administration skills.
- A proven ability to be self-motivated, work intuitively and unsupervised, while being able to adapt with changing priorities and requirements.
You will work closely with the wider Community and Regulatory services department to enable collaboration on planning compliance and other general compliance matters.
