We are looking for a HR Advisor for 10 hours per week for a 3 month fixed term period.

YMCA Taranaki is a community focused non-profit organisation with recreational, youth and children programmes and services. Our mission is to build strong children, strong families and strong communities and live by our values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility.

Working with our enthusiastic team, you will be expected to fulfil the following responsibilities:

- Manage/facilitate HR processes.
- Updating HR records, files, compliance documentation and requirements.
- Experience working in a busy office environment with strong administration skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- An understanding of relevant legislation, ie Employment Relations Act and Holidays Act.
- High standard of customer service and has the ability to liaise with a range of people.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- Problem solving ability and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of human resource practices.

YMCA Taranaki is committed to Child Protection and the safeguarding of children and young people in our care and it is our expectation that all staff will operate in a way that reflects this intent. As such we adhere to the requirements under the Vulnerable Children’s Act, ie police vetting and references.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Contract length: 3 months

Expected hours: 10 per week
