This role is part of a Global Finance team, working to deliver effective financial management and regulatory compliance of the FNZ Securities Global business. The FNZ Securities business includes operations in New Zealand, Australia, UK, Europe, and the US. The Australian business specifically is an ASX General Participant which executes, clears and settles for direct and indirect clients on the ASX and CBOE exchanges.
This role is crucial to the ASIC and ASX regulated entity that will require strong forecasting, monitoring and analytical ability, combined with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
The FNZ Global Group is expanding into other regulated environments around the world. This role will work closely with the CFO to prepare for the growth FNZ Securities is experiencing.
The responsibilities will include:
This role will have overall responsibility for the reporting and compliance of the ASX regulated entity including, but not limited to:
- Manage the budgeting and regular forecasting process for the FNZ Securities Business.- Partnering with key stakeholders including divisional CEOs across the FNZ Securities business.- Board Reporting - Modelling and preparing papers for the FNZ Board on forecast Liquidity and Core Capital requirements plus stress scenarios and P&L / Balance Sheet positions.- Daily Capital Adequacy and Liquidity reporting and projections in accordance with ASX Rules.- Preparation of ASX monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc returns.- Maintenance of regulatory reporting policies, procedures and governance frameworks and ensuring adherence to any regulatory changes.- Continuously improve procedures, processes, and internal controls.- Support new business modelling from a Liquidity and Core Capital requirement perspective.- Compile Financial Risk Management reporting.- CA or equivalent qualified, or previous roles in FP&A or regulatory accounting of an ASX/NZX General Participant.- Previous experience in a regulatory reporting environment, preferably in the Finance industry.- Alternatively, you may have solid financial reporting experience across the financial services sector or have worked on regulatory reporting projects within the Big 4 professional services firms.- Execution, clearing and settlement knowledge on ASX/NZX or similar exchange would be an advantage.- Strong forecasting and modelling skills- Strong numeracy skills, familiarity with spreadsheets and analytical and reporting tools- Microsoft Navision or Dynamics365 experience would be advantageous.- A good working knowledge of ASX/NZX participant rules would be advantageous.- The ability to think strategically and deal with complex challenges in a fluid environment.- The ability to build strong relationships as well as influence at all levels.
