We are looking for a Senior International Adviser to join the International Team and contribute to advancing conservation outcomes in Aotearoa, the Pacific region and across the globe.

He angitūtanga | About the role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to champion conservation through international collaboration and policy negotiations. Possible portfolios include nature positive approaches to climate change, Antarctic marine and terrestrial conservation, vulnerable species, and ecosystems, and supporting the Pacific region.
This is a true engagement role where whanaungatanga will be a foundation principle throughout your mahi. You'll join a passionate advisory team and work closely alongside key partners including our internal policy and technical teams, iwi, government agencies and other international and domestic stakeholders working together to support the delivery of the Government's international conservation obligations.
This role requires the ability and willingness to travel internationally for meetings and in some cases, to attend virtual international meetings at night.

excellent communication skills - clear and impactful to engage others in a vision
a strategic and solutions-focussed operator - develops creative solutions to complex problems across differing cultural landscapes.
