The Ministry for Primary Industries are currently recruiting for an Executive Coordinator to join our Te Uru Rākau - New Zealand Forest Service business unit based in Wellington.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
As an Executive Coordinator, the key purpose of your role is to provide high-level support to the Director. You will achieve this by enabling effective time management, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting directorate communications.
You will be managing the Director's diary, ensuring the efficient flow of papers and information, drafting documents and presentations. You will also work closely with other Director's and their teams/Executive Co-ordinators as required. This is a perfect chance for a confident person to show their business acumen, tact and diplomacy in supporting their busy Director. To be successful in this role you will be someone that enjoys working as a part of a larger Executive Assistant team to ensure the goals of the organisation are met.

**Specifically, your responsibilities will include**:

- Providing administrative support to the Director, including diary management, travel arrangements and scheduling of meetings.
- Carrying out a range of administrative functions to assist the Director including financial administration, preparation of meeting documents and minute/action taking when required.
- Liaising with the Office of the Director General and ministerial team to ensure timely review of ministerial documents and reports.

Mōu - About You
To be successful in this role, you will have 3-4 years previous experience in a similar role or office administration/co-ordination within a fast moving and large environment, ideally with a government agency.
You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as be computer literate in the use of MS Office products.
Importantly, you will be highly collaborative, have excellent time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities, be proactive, and have the confidence to manage a range of stakeholder relationships at all levels.
