Auckland City, New Zealand Ando Insurance Group Limited Full time

**People Coordinator**
- WFH + Flexible working
- Beautiful waterfront office location
- Great culture and fun team

**We do things a bit differently here**

Ando are proud to be a majority-locally owned multi-lines insurance business. We operate as an underwriting agency in partnership with The Hollard Insurance Company Pty Ltd and sell our policies through New Zealand’s leading insurance brokers.

At Ando we believe that the fundamental purpose and function of insurance is to help people reduce their losses when bad things happen. That’s why at Ando we’ve always believed in the importance of treating your insurance as a relationship, not a transaction. And why our purpose is to positively impact the wellbeing of New Zealanders.

**The role**

The People Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the wider People team by ensuring seamless delivery of People Operations and supporting engagement activities. This role provides high-quality administrative support, maintains compliance, and manages our HR systems (HiBob & Teamtailor) to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.

As a key point of contact for employees, the People Coordinator contributes to a positive employee experience, enabling the People team to focus on strategic initiatives that drive engagement and business success. This role offers excellent opportunities for learning and growth across all aspects of HR.

**Responsibilities**- HR Administration & Systems - Own key HR administration tasks, including preparing employment agreements and variations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our HR systems are up to date. Partner closely with payroll to ensure smooth and accurate processing.
- Recruitment & Onboarding - Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, from shortlisting and screening to interviewing. Oversee the onboarding experience, ensuring new hires feel welcomed and set up for success.
- People Operations - Assist with core people processes such as engagement surveys, remuneration reviews, and gathering employee feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Internal Communications & Events - Coordinate internal communications and events, helping to activate engagement initiatives and support key People projects.

**Qualifications and experience**- Ideally suited to a graduate with two years’ experience in an HR environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Exceptionally organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Comfortable navigating digital tools and HR systems, preferably with prior experience using HiBob or equivalent.
- A proactive team player who enjoys collaborating and supporting colleagues.
- Curious, eager to learn, and adaptable to change in a fast-moving environment.
- A sense of humour and a flexible, can-do attitude

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in HR while making a real impact on the employee experience at Ando.

**Want to surround yourself with great people?**

We’re proud that we’re a bit different from regular insurance companies - knowing it’s our people and their relationships who make that difference. We know when to work hard, be focused and smart, but we also never underestimate the importance of the human connections that make us tick and get along together.

**Jump in**

So, when you put a group of people together who all share that thought, you get a truly inclusive, supportive culture and a special group of people.
