**Animal Health Centre** is a well-established companion animal clinic located in Lower Hutt. Staffed by a small friendly team of experienced vets and nurses, we offer full medical and surgical services to our local community.
We are looking for a **Practice Manager** to join the team - some Nursing will also be required so it is essential that you are an experienced Nurse looking for that next step up
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and are looking for someone with compassion and a positive outlook who enjoys dealing with both people and animals.
Our clients are great to deal with and we have an excellent reputation for friendly personal service, so we are looking for someone who understands the special bond between owners and their pets and the role their vet plays to enhance that relationship.
Clinic Hours are Monday to Friday 8.00am-6.30pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm. No after-hours duties. No Sundays. We use a dedicated after-hours service for out of hours emergencies

**The Role**:
- Ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice
- The coordination of all practice administrative tasks (including rosters, stock control and facilities management)
- Planning and conducting team meetings including training topics
- Performance management, review and development of the nursing and reception team
- The implementation and coordination of staff training programs, health, safety & wellbeing
- Liaising with management to ensure the financial goals of the practice are met
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and solutions focused while being proactive and organised
