Lower Hutt, New Zealand Fletcher Major Projects Full time

RiverLink is a transformative project about to get underway in Hutt City. We’re very excited to announce that alongside AECOM, Fletcher Construction will be joining project partners Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Hutt City Council, Greater Wellington, and iwi Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o te Ika and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this project.

RiverLink includes crucial flood protection and river restoration work, improvements to public transport, walking and cycling routes, local roads and the SH2 Melling Interchange, as well as urban revitalisation of the Lower Hutt city centre. Construction is expected to start later this year and be completed in 2027.

The purpose of our Risk Manager position is to monitor, maintain and report risks and opportunities that affect the objectives of the Riverlink Alliance, in order to minimise the Alliance’s exposure to adverse risk and to maximise opportunities.

**About You**:

- Tertiary engineering qualification
- 20 years’ experience in project and contract management of engineering and construction activities including programming and financial reporting with significant involvement in risk management.
- Clear demonstration of leadership behaviours that empower others.
- Can work across geographical locations, team boundaries and use resources in a collaborative way to drive best practice.
- Demonstrates problem solving skills and use of initiative.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with electronic document management systems and risk based software
- Proven experience of advising on risk, in an operational environment
- Good analytical ability
