**Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role**

As a butcher, you will be part of a fast paced team and assist in providing high quality meat cuts. You will be a confident Butcher, matching qualification and/or experience is beneficial.

Key Details:

- **Position**: Permanent, Full-Time
- **Location**: Ihumatao Road, Mangere, Auckland
- **Shift Timings**: 5:30 am to 1:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

- Cut meat to separate muscle, fat and tissue from around the bones
- Cut specialised cuts, deboning and trimming of various meat types
- Wrapping and packing of meat cuts and products
- Move carcasses to boning table for preparation and work on machinery for processing.
- Pack processed stock into cartons for storage.
- Ensure that the stock is labelled correctly and packed as per Operational SOPs
- Check to ensure all meat are stored properly and stock is rotated.
- Maintain high standards of Food safety, Quality, and Health and Safety at all times

**Mōu | About you**

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- A Trade qualification or relevant butchery experience beneficial
- Skill and experience in cutting meat and preparing standard meat cuts
- Proven skills in Beef Boning or Slicing
- Around 1-2 years of hands on experience in the industry
- Evidence of a referenced, stable work history
- Be physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items
- A proven commitment to Safety & Wellbeing and Food Safety in the workplace.
- Organised, ability to multitask and meet deadlines
