Halal Butcher

We are looking for Halal Butcher to join our company. As a Halal Butcher, you prepare cuts of meat that have been acceptably slaughtered and though the dietary laws regarding meat require it to be slaughtered in a specific way and that the animal be treated with respect, in most settings, you rarely do the slaughtering yourself. Your job is simply to process the meat with skill and care into the pieces most usually sold at the market: steaks, chops, ground, etc.

**Responsibilities will include-**
- Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers.
- Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats, such as beef, pork, poultry, and fish, to prepare in cooking form.
- Prepare and place meat cuts and products in display counter to appear attractive and catch the shopper's eye.
- Estimate requirements and order or requisition meat supplies to maintain inventories.
- Supervise other butchers or meat cutters.
- Record quantity of meat received and issued to cooks or keep records of meat sales.
- Wrap, weigh, label, and price cuts of meat.
- Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery to ensure meat quality.
- Shape, lace, and tie roasts, using boning knife, skewer, and twine.

**This is a minimum 30 hours per week role and the requirement include-**
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipments is preferred
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Must be NZ resident

**Salary**: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

- Auckland City, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
