This employer is looking for a responsible, tech-savvy person for occasional on-call work, doing network or IT maintenance in and around Wellington. Experience is valued

**You'll need to be a relatively confident computer user at the least,** able to troubleshoot problems in a basic computer setup. Networking and router/data center knowledge is a bonus. Basic IT knowledge is a must but also the ability to learn on the job and preform / act as a professional as you'll just be making external connections and swapping out parts. You won't often be required to get inside the equipment or do any programming, Although if you do have knowledge/experience in these areas then this would be a bonus too.

As long as you're confident in your computer or Networking knowledge, the rest will be trained. If you do come across any tricky problems in this job, then further technical support is always provided by the employer remotely. You'll also need to be reliable with communication.
There is a potential for $45-70 per hour for each call out with a minimum of 2hours paid. This can increase as confidence builds. Note that there is no guarantee of hours each week. Interviews will be done remotely (possibly over teams or zoom), and basic training will begin ASAP if needed.

**Note: you'll need to be eligible to work as a self employed contractor (paying your own tax) to apply. A Car or taking your own public transport is vital.**
