Mō te tūnga | About the role
Sitting within the Office of the Chief Executive - this role provides support for all aspects of the Governance functions, including being the centre of excellence for organisational governance across the organisation. The role will provide secretariat support and guidance for the Te Riu (Leadership Team), subcommittees and steering groups. The role also oversees the grievance panel for residences.
A key skill for this role will be the ability engage across the business, keeping channels of communication open and positive. There will also be a strong emphasis on planning, organising and reporting so prioritisation skills will be essential. You will manage a team of advsiors who support the organisational governance.
Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring
You will have recent or relevant transferable experience within a secretariat or governance type function and have a track record as a trusted and highly competent advisor.
A confident communicator, you will be comfortable having free and frank conversations with authors/sponsors of work when reviewing content to ensure fit for purpose advice. You will need to take a pragmatic approach rather than being overly prescriptive. Previous or recent people management will be advantageous.
The role has plenty of scope to build on your existing experience, with the opportunity to support the operational and strategic goals of Oranga Tamariki.
