Stand at the stern of the canoe and feel the spray of the future biting at your face Mō te tūnga | About the role The National Criminal Investigations Group (NCIG) is responsible for providing specialist covert technical surveillance capabilities to primarily support serious crime (homicides) and organised crime (drugs & gangs) investigations across all Police districts. The NCIG are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team in our offices in Wellington. Experience managing and administering Windows Server (2012-2025), VMware or any other Virtualisation technologies, Firewall and Cybersecurity concepts, switching, Windows 10/ 11, Symantec Endpoint Protection/ Endpoint Detection and Response, Backup and Recovery, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP Linux administration experience would be beneficial but not essential. Be self-motivated and have excellent organisational, research, and communication skills. Ensuring documentation is prepared and maintained for the lifecycle of the system. Pay attention to detail and have the flexibility to cope with change. Be capable of making sound decisions under pressure.
