Mō tēnei tūranga - About the roleThe Infrastructure Engineer provides effective support to the infrastructure, networks and internal security areas. The role provides expertise to enable highly available infrastructure, network and systems and facilitates efficient and effective IT services, nationally. A key part of the role is also to provide local IT support and facilitate efficient and effective IT solutions to local problems and issues within the Fire and Emergency NZ standards and manage the IT systems support relationship with field users while providing on-the-ground support and assistance.Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role
- Significant experience Cloud Technologies, preferably, Microsoft Azure
- Significant experience in managing, configuring and operating IT Infrastructure, provisioning/installing, configuring and maintaining infrastructure services and components.
- An excellent working knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP and other core Infrastructure foundational components.
- An excellent understanding of the operational requirements of a complex, multi-vendor, multi-faceted production environment.
- Expert knowledge of the relevant key technologies installed at Fire and Emergency NZ including VMware, HPE, Microsoft and Cloud Technologies.
- Strong appreciation of formal IT disciplines, methodologies and techniques including change management and service level management.
- Strong experience in automation processes and routine system administration tasks to specifications using standard tools and scripting.
- Good experience with influencing stakeholders both within and outside an organisation.
- Experience leading through influencing other stakeholders
- Promote and model ethical behaviour.
