**About the Role**:
This role will be part of our Peace team that provides enterprise CRM solutions to the utilities sector with key customers in New Zealand and Australia. With continued success and growth, we are looking for a Software (Java) Developer. Reporting to our Software Development Manager, you will be integral to the success of our projects, your contribution each day will help this team go from strength to strength.

**Your will contribute by**:

- Designing, Coding and testing software as part of the Agile team.
- Communicating effectively at business and technical levels.
- Updating status and technical documents in Jira.
- Keeping the build green
- Troubleshooting and escalating issues when necessary.
- Participating in our R&D programme where we are using Docker, Kafka, Kubernetes, etc.

**Technically you will understand and have worked with some (or all)**:

- Strong Java knowledge
- Java or Java EE Certified
- Knowledge of typical patterns, core libraries and frameworks.
- Object-Oriented Analysis, Design and Implementation skills
- Working SQL Knowledge
- Demonstrably strong skills in Enterprise Java, including:

- Java Application Server technologies, including JSF 2 with Primefaces
- Spring and Hibernate
- Java messaging (e.g., ActiveMQ)
- integration technologies including REST and OpenAPI
- You are comfortable working with legacy back end when needed.
- Experienced and comfortable with
- Eclipse as the main IDE
- Working in an Agile environment (we use JIRA)
- Current Windows experience and you know your way around Linux with reasonable scripting skills
