EzyBill is a New Zealand fintech platform that enables overseas users—especially WeChat Pay users—to pay local bills such as tuition, rent and utilities. We connect customers and merchants through secure, real-time digital payments.

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**

- Develop and enhance payment, billing and settlement systems

- Build and maintain REST APIs, backend services and databases

- Integrate third-party payment gateways and banking APIs

- Write clean, well-documented code with automated testing

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

- Ensure data security and compliance with NZ financial regulations

- Collaborate with product, business and operations teams in an Agile environment

**Skills & Experience**

- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent

- 3+ years software development experience

- Strong backend development skills (e.g., Java/Spring, Node.js,.NET)

- Experience with modern frontend frameworks is an advantage

- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and relational databases

- Familiar with Git, CI/CD and cloud environments

- Fintech or payment system experience is a plus

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
