About the Role
We are looking for a full time Intermediate Software Developer with strong ASP.NET/C#/SQL skills to join Local Government Professional Services team, and primarily responsible for delivering a busy Enhancement and Support Programme for a Datacom developed ERP Product called IRIS (Integrated Regional Information System).
The core objectives of the role are technical consulting matching the product’s capability with the customer’s needs, as well as delivering solutions to meet the customer’s needs, including a combination of configuration, integration, and development. As a team, we also implement the Datacom developed ERP product suite called Datascape. As an Intermediate Software Developer, you will also be given responsibility to configure and integrate our solutions within the Local Government market. The initial focus will be on sound integration development using the Microsoft stack.
About you
If you are an intermediate level developer with commercial development experience using the Microsoft stack and are ready to be more customer-facing, this may be the role for you
You'll work in a close knit and highly capable team of business consultants focussed on developing enterprise and digital solutions that help our Council’s connect with their communities. You will have sound back-end C# development experience and be working with the latest Microsoft Azure cloud services including consumption and implementation of RESTful services utilising MS stack. You will also have experience with Json, REST API, webservices, security practices, T-SQL and JavaScript a plus. Local Government Domain experience is preferred but not essential.

**Key skills and experience required**:

- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Software Engineering or Information Systems
- Prior experience and in-depth knowledge of the.NET Framework
- Proficient in ASP.NET, C#, SQL JavaScript,.Net
- Experience with Web APIs
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, documentation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Able to travel to customer sites occasionally - primarily in NZ
- Accountability and Dependability

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilizing Microsoft technologies to implement software solutions that meet client’s needs
- Collaborating with team-members to facilitate the large and complex developments
- Implementing and reformulating code to ensure adherence to the coding guidelines
- Code reviews and development testing to ensure the quality of the deliverables
- Solution building and deployments using Azure Pipeline
- Providing technical consultation to the Customers and incorporating their feedback into the solution
