We currently have a number of opportunities across the Community mental health and addictions teams for Community mental health support workers with a passion for innovation and delivering services differently to join our teams providing community based services for individuals that require specialist mental health and addiction support. This includes opportunities in the general Adult mental health teams and the Specialist Eating Disorder Service (SEDS).
The purpose of this position is to provide practical support to tangata whaiora who access our service and to provide support to clinical staff who deliver those services.

The Mental Health and Addictions service deliver a variety of services across the Waikato region. We are as a service undertaking a huge programme of change to deliver better outcomes to tāngata whai ora and whānau in our region. Nga iwi Ngakaunui - people at the heart is demonstrated best in mental health and addictions, people really are at the heart of all that we do. We know how important strong relationships are; with people who access our services, with their whānau and with the communities we serve. With tangata whaiora based both locally and rurally, this role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with the communities in which people live and support better outcomes.
The multidisciplinary teams are strong, collaborative teams based in Hamilton, working Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will be welcomed as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team which has a strong focus on collaboration and tangata whaiora and whanau centric care.

**Required skills & experience**:
