**What will you do?**

Reporting to the General Manager - Construction NZ, we are seeking a Commercial Manager to join our construction team. The role will be responsible for the commercial management and financial performance of New Zealand construction projects to ensure they are financially healthy and in line with the New Zealand business plan. Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Developing commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations, and resolve contractual and commercial problems when they arise
- Proactively contribute to value management and value engineering at project and programme level
- Produce new and leverage existing analytics to enable identification of key trends or issues and provide recommendations along with action plans to implement
- Translate complex financial and commercial data into clear, honest and transparent insightful information to solve business challenges and enable fast, profitable decisions
- Providing value-add strategic assistance, support, guidance and recommendations on all commercial aspects within the project
- Collaborating with development, design and construction teams to collate information to then provide financial direction and instruction to the construction leadership team
- Actively managing project risk profiles and identifying areas of concern / riskand providing advice to the construction leadership team
