Our purpose Here at Datacom we connect people and technology in order to solve challenges, create opportunities and discover new possibilities for the communities we live in The Nuts and Bolts About the Role The Licensing Consultant is responsible for achieving an agreed revenue target or sales quota by identifying and gaining Software Licensing business from new and existing clients. This role involves ensuring complete customer satisfaction when dealing with the organisation. What you’ll bring - Ability to deal with clients at all levels and translate client needs into a complete solution. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent customer relationship building and management skills. - Strong influencing and persuasive ability. - Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information across various levels. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders. - Strong consultative and planning skills. - Expert product and industry knowledge. - Strong business acumen. **Responsibilities**: Understanding the customer's Software Licensing objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes and forming long term business partnerships in order to leverage revenue from the relationship and promote the organisation as a quality supplier with the aim of achieving "preferred" supplier status. Negotiating price and volume discounts (where applicable) in accordance with the organisation's policies and liaising with Technical Support staff regarding technical issues to ensure client retention and continued business. Identifying and gaining new Software Licensing business through working with the PSG Account Managers and Enterprise Sales teams and keeping abreast of competitor's Sales strategies. Coordinating the preparation of Software Licensing proposals, tenders/bids, contracts and Account Management plans. Advising customers of other services, we can deliver to assist with Optimising their software spend and ensuring they are utilising all products purchased. Why you want to join us
