**About the Role**:
Due to our increasing work load, we have a position available for a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor to join our Highbrook office in Auckland. The successful applicant will be involved in an interesting array of projects, primarily in the Auckland region but potentially also in other parts of NZ.

Your role as Licensed Cadastral Surveyor will require that you undertake a wide range of duties including, but not limited to the following:

- Complete marketing for survey related projects and secure works
- In consultation with our Christchurch office, arrange meetings with clients in regard to establishing engineering survey work on larger scale Auckland projects, including rebuilds
- Complete Fee Proposals for prospective clients
- Undertake the survey/planning input for projects within the agreed budget and timeframe provided to the client. Input may include preparation of resource consents and submission to required Local Authority for approval, managing project and liaison with FTL internal staff for other input required e.g. civil, geotech
- Undertake cadastral land transfer survey work, peer review work of others, lodge digital lodgements, and receive approval as to survey by Land Information NZ
- Complete required survey fieldwork and office calculations using Magnet software and Landonline to complete project
- Establish and maintain relationship with clients
- Supervise, train and mentor graduates and junior staff
- Assist with review of Companies QA processes for survey related work and provide input as may be required
- Such other duties as reasonably required from time to time.

**About You**:
**Qualifications and Experience**:

- BSurv with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- Licensed Cadastral Surveyor
- Experience operating as a land surveyor in a commercial environment
- An understanding of modern survey equipment, Land-on-Line and CivilCAD
- Hold a current NZ driving licence
