We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learner Success Coordinator to join our team in Auckland. This role requires a unique balance of empathy, accuracy, and cultural awareness, alongside strong technical knowledge of international student regulations. You will play a crucial part in supporting and empowering learners throughout their educational journey, ensuring their success and overall satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Have a thorough and holistic understanding of the concerned learner’s situation (well-being, attendance, academic, and other).
**Daily Operations**:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for learners, providing guidance, support, and resources to address their queries and concerns
- Monitor learner progress and engagement, identifying potential challenges and implementing proactive interventions to promote success
- Collaborate with academic staff, support staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for improving learner outcomes
- Ensure the business is aligned with university partnerships' Key Performance Indicator (KPI) requirements outlined in contracts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of learner interactions, progress, and support provided
- Participate in the development and delivery of learner success initiatives, workshops, orientations, and resources
- Ensure that attendance monitoring and follow-up procedures are carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
- Issue relevant warning letters when necessary, and communicate this to the relevant parties, and file the students’ documents by following the guidelines.
- Stay informed about educational policies, regulations, and best practices related to learner support and success
**Qualifications** About You**:
You are an organised and empathetic professional with strong attention to detail and a passion for supporting international learners. You will be confident working with regulatory frameworks while also providing outstanding customer service to students and their whānau.
- Diploma, Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent
- At least three years of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated understanding of immigration, NZQA, TEC, MOE, and Public Trust regulations related to international students.
- Experience in using Dynamics 365, Selma, or any other SMS (desirable)
- Experience in student support, counselling, or educational administration.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with learners and colleagues
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to identify and address learner challenges effectively
- Experience working with diverse learner populations and understanding their unique needs
