We have an opportunity for 2 Business Assurance Advisors to join the Te Waka Aukaha, Planning Design and Assurance Group within the Service Delivery and Operations branch. One position is permanent, and one is fixed term (3 years, to support a time-limited project).
As a Business Assurance Advisor, you will provide risk and assurance services, including independent quality assurance (audits) and other assurance activities, to support the Department to ensure the integrity of its products and services. The Business Assurance team works collaboratively, with a range of stakeholders and provides leaders with trusted advice and assurance over their business.
A willingness and flexibility to work across a range of risk and assurance activities is required for both positions. To complement the current range of skills, knowledge and experience within the team and meet the needs of our internal customers, previous experience and/or knowledge of citizenship by grant processes would be an advantage for the permanent role.

**To be successful in the role you will**:

- be able to work through issues of complexity and provide judgement to select and apply/recommend appropriate decisions
- be highly organised, with strong planning and time management skills and the ability to work in a structured and methodical way, to tight timeframes
- have had success in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- have sound oral communication skills and the ability to produce clear, concise written documentation
- demonstrate composure and resilience combined with a flexible can-do positive attitude
- have the necessary experience to enable you to undertake independent quality assurance and maintain credibility with stakeholders.
