We’re seeking a Technology Risk Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed term In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring robust supplier risk management and resilience across our Technology & Transformation Division, helping to protect ASB and our customers from evolving risks in a fast-changing environment. This is a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your expertise, judgement, and communication skills will be valued as you work with both internal stakeholders and external partners to uplift our risk culture and supplier resilience. **Mo te tūranga | About the role** As the Technology Risk Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing supplier risks, ensuring appropriate controls are implemented, and supporting the business in meeting supplier lifecycle and business continuity management policies, frameworks, and risk appetite tolerances. Your key responsibilities will include: - Contributing to the successful management of supplier risks, ensuring controls are implemented and risks are managed within appetite. - Supporting the business in meeting supplier lifecycle and business continuity management policies, frameworks, and risk appetite tolerances. - Delivering relevant management information and reporting required by Senior Management and Governance Committees. - Supporting the implementation and management of supplier risk and control requirements across the Division. - Developing effective working relationships with Senior Management and a diverse group of key stakeholders. - Proactively developing and maintaining relationships with team members, stakeholders, and relevant Centres of Excellence to facilitate ongoing management of supplier risk. - Being actively involved in all aspects of supplier business continuity and disaster recovery capability assessments. - Actively contributing to the delivery of specific supplier risk projects and strategic initiatives. - Fostering an appropriate and effective risk culture as it relates to suppliers, ensuring we do the right thing even when no one is looking. **Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?** - Strong technology understanding in a supplier compliance and risk context. - Innovative, flexible, and self-motivated approach. - Strong negotiation and consensus-building skills, with the ability to build relationships across functional lines. - Critical thinking and sound problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop risk mitigation strategies. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate and convey complex information to a diverse group of stakeholders. - Experience in risk management and ideally knowledge of supplier risk relating to financial services (preferably with some exposure to BS11 and CPS230). - 4+ years’ experience in financial services, risk management, compliance, or legal fields. **He aha tā mātou | What can we offer?** **Get the work-life equation right.** We know life is full of priorities, from football practice to side hobbies.
