Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us We're looking for a Risk Manager to join our Risk division. This role is responsible for acting as a trusted advisor and partner to the Risk Business Unit, supporting the execution of risk, management, compliance, and project execution accountabilities through provision of day-to-day advice and guidance on operational risk and compliance matters. The team vision is to deliver world class operational risk & compliance advice, provide governance leadership, ensure operational practices result in great customer outcomes and develop great colleague relationships across the Bank to enable the successful delivery of projects. The CP&S Management Assurance team is an experienced, supportive group and the team are always willing to assist and coach other team members. What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ? BNZ is focused on delivering great kiritaki (customer) outcomes and supporting staff to 'own it' and do the right thing. This is a fast-paced role with lots of challenges and the opportunity to drive change / improvements across the Customer Product & Services business unit and the broader BNZ network. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? We are looking for someone with experience in risk management, product governance with a strong focus on compliance, emerging banking technologies, ideally 5+ years, who has a passion for improving risk management in the financial services sector. Alongside your broad knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks, principles, and methodologies, you'll be a creative thinker with proven success in resolving problems. You'll have the ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of BNZ audiences, including experience in facilitation and up-skilling stakeholders across the enterprise. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? The role provides the opportunity for an experienced risk management professional to get exposure to the end-to-end product lifecycle of the BNZ products and get across different systems/operating processes/functional teams.
