In this role you’ll lead the pursuit and winning of major and/or strategic opportunities for the NZ Transport business, and to undertake selected project governance roles. The role is instrumental in collaborating with the Operational and Sales leadership team to identify and track key opportunities, develop pursuit plans and lead proposals.
- Building strong relationships with key clients such as Waka Kotahi, Auckland Transport, KiwiRail, Local Councils and key Delivery Partners
- Working with sales and marketing teams to promote Jacobs’ brand and position Jacobs for key opportunities
- Identification and execution of external partnering opportunities
- Establishing commercial, risk and governance processes at bid phase and transition to project start-up for successful pursuits
- Project governance (Project Director / board representative) for selected projects
- Support resourcing a range of professional disciplines
- Promote the integration of GID for the effective delivery of projects
- Lead people by building effective project teams as well as coaching/mentoring and developing talent within those teams
- Provide mentoring to graduates and early career professionals, supporting them in their career growth and path to professional registration
- Support your Performance Unit to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people
- You will provide consistent leadership and role modelling of Jacobs’ core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across the project that embodies Jacobs’ Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of people.
- You will set clear direction regarding client focus and responsiveness and will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs

- You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and significant industry experience within a similar consultancy environment.
- Sound market knowledge, the ability to build strong client relationships, and the acumen to identify, bid, win, and deliver projects
