**Principal - Construction**

This role works in conjunction with the client executives and service teams to deliver specialist construction expertise ensuring that a high degree of quality customer service is always provided to all clients. It will also include working with the business development team to develop new business opportunities.

**In this role you will be responsible for**:

- Aligning our services and programs with the client’s business, risk management and insurance needs
- Leading, planning and implementing clear and effective renewal and broking strategies for construction programmes and projects
- Maximize team and account profitability through the implementation of efficient and effective work practices, adequate client billing and sensible expense control
- Provide clear and accurate delegation of key tasks to appropriate team members
- Consistently meet and exceed own and team revenue, expense and trading profit budgets
- Assisting Practice Leader with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of team/unit business plans and goals
- Recognizing and capitalizing upon revenue generation, growth and other opportunities
- Comply fully with the Company’s Errors and Omissions avoidance procedures
- Adhering to the Company's Quality practices and other systems and procedures
- Work closely with the development team to assist and convert New Business opportunities

**We would like you to have**:

- Prior experience in a similar role, working on complex global or major accounts
- Strong understanding of the construction industry
- Strategic thinker and a natural problem solver
- Extremely confident in communicating with the C-suite.
- Significant experience in successfully managing major client relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Some travel may be required
