We are looking for a dynamic Family Services Manager to inspire, lead and empower a culture of excellence and continuous improvement at our Pāpāmoa Family Services.
Pāpāmoa Family Services provides a range of strengths-based whānau services in the Bay of Plenty Region. We have developed a strong reputation of delivering effective and professional social services including social work, counselling, financial mentoring and group programmes while promoting our distinct Christian character and values. Our primary goal is to assist people to take positive action in their lives by providing expertise, support, resources and information.
**About the role**
As the Family Services Manager, you will be responsible for management of the service, leading and mentoring a multidisciplinary team of professionals who support tamariki and whānau in the wider Pāpāmoa community. You will oversee the team and provide high quality clinical guidance and direction, helping staff achieve their protentional and develop their professional practice. This role includes some case work and you will have the skills and commitment to work in a variety of settings within a framework of legislative procedures, supporting individuals, whanau and groups within the Community. This full-time role is based in Papamoa and reports to the Community Programmes Manager.
**About you**
You will be an experienced people leader with a natural ability to build strong relationships across the community. You will enjoy looking for opportunities to build connections and deliver on community needs whilst ensuring high quality services. This will be underpinned by your clinical qualification in social work or counselling (or equivalent) and registration with an appropriate professional body.
It is also important to us that you can demonstrate the following:
- Operational and/or practice management experience
- Proven ability to enhance growth and profile of the service
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, sound computer literacy skills
- Demonstrated resilience, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship skills
- Able to champion the special character of Anglican Care Waiapu.
