Engineering New Zealand Te Ao Rangahau is the professional home for engineers in New Zealand. **About the role | Kōrero mō te tūranga**

The Team Leader - Legal provides leadership and support to Engineering New Zealand’s team of legal advisors and manages the delivery of the organisation’s complaints and legal services. The role also involves providing legal information and education to members and registrants, as appropriate, to improve performance and capability of the profession.

Key aspects of the role include:

- Oversee our complaints services
- Provide legal advice to the organisation
- Lead Engineering New Zealand’s legislative compliance work
- People leadership
- Relationship management

**Desired skills and experience | Ngā tino pūkenga/whēako**

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- A tertiary qualification with good academic achievement in law is essential
- Team leadership experience
- Admission to the New Zealand bar
- Experience providing high quality legal advice
- Experience in complaints resolution, including alternative dispute resolution processes
