**Programme Director**

You will lead from the front - positively and proactively shaping programmes within AT, and 'on the ground' externally with mana whenua, partners, stakeholders, media and the wider Auckland community. You will drive key decisions, seek strong collaborative outcomes and ensure excellence in communication.

Key responsibilities including leading project governance and reporting under ATs delegation framework, and relationship management throughout the investigation, planning, approvals, and construction phases of this exciting and diverse programme.

**The role**:

- You will be joining the AT Programme Delivery team working alongside other experienced Programme Directors helping to transform programme delivery at AT.
- The Programme Director provides a critical leadership role that oversees matrix project teams responsible for the cost effective and timely planning, procurement, delivery, and commissioning of AT's largest capital programmes.
- You will work as an integrated part of an established programme team, setting strategic direction, monitoring delivery performance, mitigating risks, and resolving issues.
- Lead and guide the programme team, including project management, controls, technical safety and design experts, communication, engagement and procurement specialists.
- Be the 'face' of the programme internally within AT and externally, engaging with elected members and media to discuss programme delivery progress and new developments.
- Represent the programme at an AT Executive and Board level.
- Working proactively and collaboratively to solve problems, mitigate risks and maintain project delivery momentum.
- Oversee and lead programme reporting and assurance including financial performance and forecasts, programme, risks, and reputation.
- Being a strong champion for achieving transformational programme outcomes.

**What are we looking for?**
- 10+ years' post graduate experience in infrastructure delivery or related area and specific experience with large, transformational projects.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role.
- Experience reporting to Board level and interfacing with executive management, stakeholders, politicians and funding partners at a strategic level.
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Engineering, Planning or similar discipline

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Engineering or business administration degree, or project management qualification
Association for Public Participation Certificate in Public Participation (desirable).
