The Māori, Communities and Partnerships (MCP) Group is responsible for building capability across the organisation to support the aspirations of Māori, connecting and collaborating to build effective partnerships and community approaches that achieve better outcomes for those who most need our support.

Mō te tīma / About our team
The Service and Contracts Management team within MCP is responsible for managing a range of contracts with service providers and partners and supporting our industry partnerships with employers. The group also supports the regional contracting teams who work directly with providers throughout New Zealand.
The purpose of the Support Funds is to increase the participation of disabled people or people with a health condition in open employment by assisting with the additional costs incurred as a direct consequence of their disability when undertaking the same employment or training as a person without a disability or health condition.

Tēnei tūranga - About the role
As a Support Fund Advisor you will be involved in assessing client's eligibility to receive funding to support disabled people or people with a health condition to take up open employment or work-related training.
You will maintain and create professional relationships with providers of disability services, employers and suppliers and will ensure the client receives the appropriate supports in an efficient and timely manner.

**You will be successful in this role if you are or have**:

- A high level of knowledge and understanding of employment services for people with a disability or health condition
- A sound understanding of disability issues and experience in working with people with disabilities
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, to manage and contribute to team performance and outcomes
- A proven record in establishing, building and maintaining effective and cohesive working relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal), at all levels across government and public and private sector

Position Description

**Salary range**: $83,011.00 - $101,458.00
