Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer seeking a new challenge? Our client is a family owned and operated company who are specialist in their field. They are seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to join their close-knit team based in South Auckland.

Key Responsibilities:

- Opening of the plant at the start of the day and starting production
- Shut down plant and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance work
- Repair machinery in event of breakdown
- Perform tests of boiler water and wash water samples
- Liaise and book contractors for machinery servicing and break downs
- Work with compliance manager on different aspects of H&S, including audits, work procedures, SOP’s annual reviews & food safety inspections

Hours of work:

- Monday - Thursday (40 hours per week)

About you, you will have:

- NZQA Level 4 in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or higher
- Relevant work experience as a maintenance engineer
- Understanding of the Laundry industry and its processes
- Understanding of Health & Safety
- Strong work ethic with a good sense of humour
- Proven Mechanical & Electrical knowledge
- Basic computer skills and excellent communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure - ability to adapt and work through different scenarios when there is pressure in production.
- Time management / organisation - turn up to work on time to accomplish objectives effectively within given timeframes and carry out administrative duties in an efficient and timely manner.
