Sitting at the gateway of Auckland’s vibrant Viaduct Basin on Hobson Wharf, the Museum is Auckland's primary CBD-based waterfront visitor attraction.

We are looking for an experienced customer-focused Front of House Manager (FOHM) to lead and inspire our front-of-house team, enhancing our visitor experience with outstanding service and Manaakitanga (hospitality). You’ll manage day-to-day operations, oversee a team of Museum Assistants, and ensure that every visitor enjoys a memorable museum experience.

This is a permanent, part time position of 24 hours / 3 days per week. Days and roster to be discussed - likely to be either Sun
- Tues or Wed - Frid. This forms part of a job-share with another FOHM to cover the 7-day week.

The role will also require occasional evening shifts and public holidays.

Your interpersonal skills allow you to build effective relationships across all levels, and you handle diverse visitor needs with calm authority and professionalism. **To further guide you we require**:

- 3+ years’ experience in a front-of-house role within the hospitality or visitor attraction sectors, ideally with management experience.
- Being able to bring your local knowledge of Tāmaki Makaurau to our visitors will be a distinct advantage for success in this role
- Strong customer service and leadership skills, including staff development and performance management.
- Experience with booking systems and familiarity with MS Office (Word and Excel).

**Salary**: $65,000k - 75,000k per annum, pro rata, based on skillset, qualifications, and experience
