We are currently on the lookout for an exceptional person to provide performance management for one of Suncorp NZ’s key project management strategic partners. Optimise the outcomes and performance of our partner while driving simplicity and customer centricity. You will carry out QA to identify opportunities to improve performance in terms of cost, customer service, quality, governance, and compliance. Deliver and embed regulatory and compliance requirements and changes whilst collaborating closely with colleagues to deliver the best customer outcomes.

**Your key areas of focus will include**:

- Deliver projects to improve our partners performance in terms of cost, customer experience, quality, governance and compliance linked to the overarching Suncorp NZ strategy.
- Ensure lessons learnt from previous events are leveraged for future events.
- Provide oversight of initiatives undertaken by our partner and the expected impacts on cost, customer and risk.
- Promote productive and collaborative relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of Suncorp NZ strategies and objectives.
- Develop improvement strategies between Claims and our partner, supporting training efforts across teams that optimise processes.
- Develop strong collaborative supplier relationships which produce additional value for Suncorp NZ.
- Act in a way that supports effective stakeholder outcomes for Suncorp NZ whilst positively influencing Suncorp NZ’s market reputation and brand
- Manage and resolve escalated complaints regarding the supply network from customers and brokers, and effectively negotiate resolutions to disputes.
- Work with QA to ensure a centralised and appropriate risk-based approach is taken including implementation of a QA function
- Manage supplier performance including SLA’s and other contract deliverables. Through active management of our partner to SLA’s identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring that our partner have the processes in place to deliver a quality service, decrease claims costs and timelines, and increase customer satisfaction
- Monitor leakage indicators and propose viable solutions to category owners and business owners
- Maintain daily oversight of operational performance, ensuring it meets or exceeds contracted levels and report on relevant key activities in a timely manner.
- Take ownership of identified pain points, working with internal SMEs and external partners to develop and implement appropriate solutions.
- Consistently question and evolve our operational process to maximise partner resource capability and delivery
- Ensure all risk frameworks are met or exceeded and appropriate process and procedures are in place to minimise risk

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Extensive proven experience in a supplier/customer management role
- Good project management and change management skills are required
- Good ability to interpret data to understand market and pricing changes
- Brings an innovative and tailored approach to the challenges we face
- Strong communicator both written and oral and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholder
- Experience in either Quantity Surveyor, Procurement, or Contract Manager within building reconstruction (min 2-3 years)
- Performance management experience, desired
- Experience in either general insurance or a Trade qualification is desired
- Resilience and ability to overcome obstacles to achieve best outcomes for the customer
