Mövenpick Hotel Auckland is looking for an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join the team. We're looking for someone with passion and ambition to inspire a team of food and beverage superstars to deliver on point.

The role will Coordinate and manage the day-to-day restaurant, room service, café/Laneway, bar service and conferencing operations in the hotel.

In this role you will:

- Ensure efficient, friendly and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests.
- Ensure staff are competent in the menu and wine list knowledge and can maximise sales to guests.
- Resolve any issues in a timely manner with positive outcomes
- Ensure guest satisfaction through effective communication and efficient delivery
- Set up and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the restaurant to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.
- Ensure that the correct quantity of stock is ordered in keeping with par levels
- Establish and run on-going On Job Training within the department to meet brand and service standards. Use department procedure manuals as a base for all service procedures and training.
- Take all practicable steps to maintain a safe work environment following Accor Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedure.
- Deliver and achieve a level of service quality that consistently meets and preferably exceeds the expectations of guests, in line with the Peopleology Principles.
- Observe liquor, health and other laws and regulations;
**You are expected to**
- Have at least two years' experience at similar role
- Strong communication skills and be comfortable interacting with guests and other team members
- The ability to problem solve & remain calm in busy periods
- Excellent wine, beer and cocktail knowledge
- Highly organised and plans ahead
- Current GM certification preferred but not necessary
- Can work on a rotating roster 7 days a week, Availability on weekends, public holidays and late evenings
