We are seeking a skilled and motivated Butchery Assistant to support our fun and friendly butchery team. As a Butchery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth running of the department.

As a Butchery Assistant, your impressive work ethic will help you succeed in the performance of the following tasks:

- Assist the team in meat packing, stocking cases with products that are well trayed, wrapped and labelled, whilst ensuring that food safety standards are maintained.
- Ensure that customers are served in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards are expected to be maintained, including proper sanitation of equipment, tools, and work surfaces.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their meat selection, answering queries, and offering cooking and preparation advice.
- Follow all safety and health guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and contamination.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication.

We are looking for energetic applicants who are reliable, have the flexibility to work above and beyond, the ability to use initiative, and a desire to excel; are team players with a strong focus on delivering the best to our customers, and not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Applicants must be New Zealand citizens/residents or have already secured legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
