**About The Role**:
Reporting to the GM People and Capability, you will work with the Board, ELT and across all levels of the ANZCO Foods group to continue to improve Health and Safety performance. With responsibility for 4 staff, this enhanced position reflects the level of importance placed on this role by the Board and CEO, representing an excellent opportunity for an experienced health & safety leader. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivery on the ANZCO Foods commitment to continue to improve its safety culture with a focus on strategic initiatives, ensuring compliance, reporting on performance and developing capability at all levels
- Developing strategy and an ongoing programme of behavioural change initiatives across the business, leading and embedding the cultural change programme
- Working closely with the General Manager Operations to upskill managers and site-based health and safety teams to deliver improved performance
- Having high visibility and building trusted relationships with stakeholders, leading the H&S management forums, proactive initiatives and conversations across the business
- Ensuring the ongoing maintenance and development of H&S management systems for ANZCO Foods.
This is a great opportunity based in Christchurch to actively lead a large organisation in this space and make your mark, influencing the HSE culture and taking this well-respected organisation on a journey of change.
**Skills & Experience**:
You will have at least 10 years of senior experience working in complex and dynamic environments and significant experience in understanding the drivers to changing and embedding culture change. The role will ensure that significant risks are identified and managed and have the ability to provide insights at all levels of the business on how we are performing and where we can improve in our health and safety culture. You will be responsible for continually developing and managing a team of Health and Safety specialists as well as upskilling and supporting a wide range of senior operational managers, technical and support staff. You will have proven experience in developing sound reports and analysing data, along with established relationships with regulators and specialists.
