**The role**
- Create, lead and role model clear committed behaviours while driving a continuous improvement culture and focused vision
- Lead and foster a positive and customer focused team environment where people can openly learn, develop, lead and achieve
- Improve the Orion Network quality, health and safety strategies, policies and procedures and develop an effective critical risk program
- Provide guidance, advice, support and expertise to the wider business ensuring awareness of our responsibilities under the H&S At Work Act (2015) and relevant legislation
- Ensure our safety management systems, practices and audit data is robust and fit for purpose
- Review and monitor quality audits and investigations including H&S legislation updates and changes are communicated

**About you**
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in a high risk, complex and technical environment - sector knowledge will be an advantage but not essential
- Proven experience and ability to lead, develop, influence and motivate a team of H&S professionals
- Extensive knowledge of relevant regulations, safety legislations and H&S At Work Act (2015)
- Experience in leading, executing and monitoring internal and external audits
- Ability to identify innovative solutions with a collaborative approach to decision making and best practice requirements
- Ability to communicate, engage and influence at a high level across a wide range of stakeholders
